Automotive relief
services
Due to growing population and increasing car production
currently up to 12 million vehicles and more in the
country as well as roads expansion, people tend to
travel more than ever. In order to facilitate tourism
and pilgrimage trips, present appropriate patterns in
all fields and related services, provide comfort and
satisfy travel requirements abroad for local drivers and
for tourists traveling to Iran or intending to cross the
Iranian border, one thing is essential and important
taken over by Tourism and Motoring Association of I.R.
of Iran.

Tourism Association, affiliated to Organization of
Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Trip became a member
of two international FIA and AIT treaties in 1935 and
since, besides translation and issuance of international
certificates and transit license plates, has chosen (as
per Geneva international conventions of 1949 and 1958)
to provide automotive relief services for local and
foreign tourists, as one of its inherent duties,
entering urban and suburban access roads. This leaded
the first automotive relief services center as one of
the agencies of the Tourism Association to begin its
main activities in rendering services to the cars of
county’s officials. It has broadened its activities in
line with the victory of Iranian Islamic Revolution
including road widening and extending, increasing car
production and growing public demand. For this reason,
it has prioritized the role of roads in the development
of country’s industry and the role of automotive relief
services in the promotion of safety in country’s roads
and has defined its guidelines on this basis which
include encouraging the setting up of automotive relief
services network – as per known standards –, taking into
account most roads of the country, motivating private
sector to invest in automotive technical services at
urban and suburban levels, installing fixed and
traveling bases in a regular manner, appropriate
membership planning of automotive technical services
companies, creating necessary infrastructures for
intercommunication of bases rendering automotive relief
services and traveling patrols responsible of helping
applicants for automotive relief services, creating
units to oversee and control the procedure of providing
such services and founding a complete and comprehensive
organizational structure.
Presenting an appropriate and complete range of services
including documentation, relief services, spare parts
provision and accessories thereof, execution of special
projects, this center has opened a new chapter of
automotive relief services across the country.
Developing and advancing in qualitative and quantitative
levels along with a scientific and systematic approach,
it continues to provide automotive relief services with
the ultimate goal of “customer satisfaction”.

Using a wide network of automotive relief centers at
provincial level equipped with a relief message free
phone number 09697 and radio communication systems,
garages, agencies, relief centers and inspection and
supervision equips at the utmost parts of the country,
automotive relief services center has been able to
provide standard relief services in the shortest
possible time for subscribers and non-subscribers. To
that end and to comply with considering standards using
modern principles of management, traineeship, survey,
receiving reports and feedbacks on services rendered,
operation control and inspection, automotive relief
services center has taken an effective step in
organizing automotive relief services.
By the same token, to achieve said goals and facilitate
traveling plans given the fungal increase of various
relief companies, lack of corporate accountability
regarding grievances and complaints of people from
different classes, automotive relief services center
took the responsibility of organizing relief companies
and all individuals working in the field of providing
relief services for all road vehicles. This
responsibility was assumed with the cooperation of
traffic police administration of the I.R.R. police
forces (NAJA) in an agreement signed in 2008. Efforts
are now being performed to take approval in cabinet.

with relaxation. Most people like to use their own cars
in order to benefit from necessary facilities to
overcome their eventual difficulties. In other words,
they welcome all necessary conditions to have a good
trip and entertainment.
